Ash Chambers scored a 95th minute header as a resilient United performance ensured we returned to Nottingham with a deserved three points.
It was a bright start from the hosts with them controlling much of the ball but struggling to break down a solid United back line.
Our first chance goal came in the 10th minute when an FC corner fell to Jody who played a loverly long ball over the top for Rev to chase. Rev's cut back was blocked by the FC defence and went out for a corner.
FC's best chance of the first half came after Jay Fitzmartin found himself in behind but Saul Deeney pulled off a great save at his near post to deny the forward. Tyrell Waite then stung the palms of Charlie Casper in the FC goal but no one was there for the follow up.
The second half started like the first with FC controlling the ball but not creating any clear cut chances. Adam Le Fondre with the best chance for the host but his shot flew over Deeney's crossbar.
United then started to get control of the ball starving FC of any possession making it difficult for the hosts to gain any momentum. The Ambers best chances were coming from outwide when the lively Rev James and Tyler Dacres found plenty of time and space to pick out Chambers or Tyrell Waite in the box but the tall FC defenders felt with the crosses well.
Both Jordy and Kacy had long range efforts which almost found the back of the net with Jordys's shot from 25 yards being cleared off the line after an initial deflection had the FC goalkeeper wrong footed.
Basford were determined to leave Manchester with all three points and in the 93rd minute Ash chambers headed home after a Matt Thornhill corner was header goal wards by Ethan Stewart and Champ ensured the ball went over sending the Ambers fans wild with the FC fans silenced by the goal.
United had only 30 seconds to hang on as FC sent everyone forward for the last action, but like all game the Basford back line felt with everything that came their way to ensure all three points headed back to Nottingham!
