Manager Steve Kittrick continues to move swiftly and versatile midfielder Jack Thomas becomes our second summer signing after agreeing to re-join the club from Ilkeston Town.

A former professional with Mansfield Town, the 26-year-old played 65 times in all competitions during his time in League Two and had loan spells at Hednesford Town, Barrow and Boston United.

He then moved to Greenwich Avenue in 2018 on a one-year deal following his release from the Stags and featured 29 times during our first season at step 3, quickly becoming a firm favourite with the supporters.

Thomas scored three times in United colours; his best a goal of the season contender in a 4-0 win away at Bamber Bridge during his debut season; a well-taken chipped effort from the angle of the area.

Two spells at near-neighbours Ilkeston later followed, either side of a 37-appearance spell at Tamworth.
