Basford United vs Bamber Bridge, 17/10/2020, Kick-off 3:00pm

Last time out
In our last game we were 3-0 winners away to Radcliffe FC. Ryan Wilson’s stunning free-kick gave us a 1-0 advantage at the break. Kane Richards then doubled the lead with a good finish, finding the top corner of the net. Captain Matt Thornhill then wrapped up the win from the penalty spot.

Our visitors also travelled to Radcliffe but were on the wrong end of a 2-1 score line. Larnell Cole put Radcliffe ahead in the first half before the lead was doubled by Jean-Louis Akpa-Akpro. Bamber Bridge did cut the lead in half through George Thompson but they could not find a way back into the game.

Last season
We beat Bamber Bridge twice last season. The first game away from home saw us win 3-1, with all our goals coming in the second half after Michael Fowler had put the hosts ahead just after the half hour mark.
The reverse fixture saw us score another three goals, this time without reply. We lead 2-0 at the break before an 88th minute goal saw us wrap up the win.
