The club are pleased to announce that former Notts County goalkeeper Adam Collin has signed for the 2021/22 season.
Collin joins the club with a host of Football League experience, having been Notts’ number one when they made the League Two Playoffs under Kevin Nolan before rejoining Carlisle United, also in League Two.
Last season he was at Step-two side Kettering Town in the National League North.
Alongside his playing role, Collin will also help current goalkeeping coach Graeme Rodger coach Kieran Preston and Jordan Pierrepont, the club’s two other first team goalkeepers. He will also be involved in our academy set up working with our academy goalkeepers as well as supporting those in the Basford United Community Football Club section.
First Team Manager and Head of Academy Steve Chettle, said:” I have known Ads (Adam Collin) since my involvement alongside Kevin Nolan and the First Team staff at Notts County.
“He has his very successful AC1 Goalkeeper Coaching Academy and has been working with our academy ‘keepers and we have seen fantastic progression from the group. On top of that since his season at Kettering was curtailed he has been with the first team helping Graeme (Rodger) with KP (Kieran Preston) and Jordan (Pierrepont) as well as training alongside them.
"It has been great to have him around the group and our goalkeeper’s union have gained valuable experience having him around.
“Adam joins us to work with Graeme and to help KP and Jordan but also put himself into the fold to play next season. We are extremely lucky to have such a talented pool of ‘keepers at the club and I’m sure they will push each other to the maximum for all to benefit.”
Our first team will return to action on July 10th when we host Carlton Town in our first pre-season friendly ahead of the new season. You can view that game and the rest of our pre-season home fixtures for free with a 2021/22 ticket that can be purchased from our club shop.
